We’ve moved into our new home!

Five cooks in the new Wivey Kitchen preparing food.

Since we started Wivey Kitchen in 2020, we’ve had several homes.

  • Wiveliscombe Rugby Club hosted us until the end of March 2022; our time there helped us work our ‘MO’ and get to grips with food ordering to supply the 10 Parishes area

  • We then moved to Oak Barn, Wiveliscombe, until July 2022 before moving on to…

  • Chipstable Parish Community Hall, in September 2022, where we stayed until February 2023…

  • We then moved back to Oak Barn until the end of July 2023

  • After that, in September 2023 we set up at St Andrew’s Church, until the end of April

On 1st of May, we moved to our very own kitchen at The Bear Inn, Wiveliscombe, thanks to owners Jon and Mille for finding a space for us to install all our equipment.  We are so delighted that we have a permanent space for our wonderful volunteers to work in and where we can continue to produce healthy, tasty meals for our community.  Now that we have a home, we can focus on our plans to open a community pantry…so watch this space!

Everyone at Wivey Kitchen is so grateful for all those that have supported us over the years by welcoming us into their kitchen spaces – without this help, we couldn’t have done what we’ve done.
